WHY TO INVEST IN BULGARIA
The national real estates market shows constantly increasing growth and this is the tendency of its future development as well. In the newly admitted member-states of the European Union - Republic of Czech and Poland - the prices of real estates have raised by about 250% during the last five years. For Bulgaria this increase is 17% for the last 9 months respectively. Except for the investment opportunities the state provides also a few other advantages:
- It will become member-state of the European Union in 2007;
- It is member-state of NATO;
- Its currency is bound to the Euro;
- It has stable economic growth each year;
- It has well developed tourist industry.
IS IT SURE TO INVEST IN BULGARIA
The macroeconomic climate in the state is stable and predictable. The economic growth is about 4,5 % annually and the inflation rate  is 3,8 %, as one of the most progressively developing sectors  is tourism.

Each year a lot of foreign tourists visit Sofia, Varna or Burgas as to purchase real estate. The greatest is the interest in the summer villas and apartments down the sea coast as well as in the new buildings in the central parts of the bigger towns.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS RELATED TO THE PURCHASE OF A REAL ESTATE
If you are willing to acquire a real estate in the country, you have to take into consideration the following costs:
- Price of the estate.
- Legal fees for the consultant / real estate agent.
- Notary and other fees related to transfer of the ownership (they are calculated respectively to each particlar case, however they are amounting approximately to 3% of estate’s price).
- Funds for company’s registration (only in case land is acquired as well).
- Transport costs.
- Other costs related to inhabitation of the estate – furniture, repairs, etc.
DO YOU NEED VISA
Foreign visitors coming to Bulgaria should submit a valid passport. For the citizens of most Western European states visa is not required. Nevertheless, due to possible change in the terms, it is recommended to address the respective Bulgarian consular office or embassy for information before travelling.
